About Native Forest Restoration

Frank Welsh- Expert Urban Forestry Specialist

As an Urban Forestry Specialist, I have dedicated my life to the health and care of urban forests of the Southeast of the United Sates. The trees and plants surrounding us in the urban areas are not to be unnoticed but respected and acknowledged as our affiliate in life and well- being. Fore more than 10 years, I have researched and self educated with professionals on how to improve the urban forests and environmental health of urban areas.

The start of my dedication to heath for all: Truckee Meadows of Habitat for Humanity

Something more: I started as a dedicated tree worker for Trees Atlanta, Inc. moving my way to tree care and forest restoration to managing the Beltline Westside for their implementation of wildflower and prairie grasses.

Dedicating myself to urban forestry for the City of Chattanooga

Trees and plants in urban areas are essential for public health, climate resilience, and quality of life: they filter air pollutants and capture particulate matter, reduce urban heat through shading and water-loss, manage stormwater and reduce flooding by intercepting rain and improving soil infiltration, support biodiversity by providing habitat and food for pollinators and birds, sequester carbon to mitigate climate change, and enhance mental and physical well-being by creating green spaces that lower stress, encourage outdoor activity, and improve neighborhood aesthetics and property values.
